The technique behind the TC3000 Thermo-Coagulator

The principle of thermo-coagulation is the heating of the vein that makes it coagulate. This rise in temperature is achieved by sending a high frequency pulse from the tip of a thin needle. Because the needle is isolated, the effect is very localised and effects on the surrounding tissue are limited.

The TC3000 is profoundly different to electro-coagulation as used in electrolysis, even though both use a needle. Electric-coagulation and electrolysis equipment can cause lixiviation which is a chemical reaction producing caustic alkaline. It provokes a chemical burn, is more painful and more side effects such as scarring and pigmentation occur.
